Abbey Clancy is “heartbroken” as she shared an emotional loss after 20 years. Abbey Clancy and her husband Peter Crouch regularly update fans on their busy family life away from showbiz. The couple have four children, Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose, Johnny, and Jack.
Peter popped the question in 2009 before the couple tied the knot in June 2011 in a lavish ceremony with family, friends and fellow famous faces. The couple regularly share insights into their relationship on The Therapy Crouch podcast.
In a recent post on social media, Abbey shared the news that their family’s pet cat had died. The cat, called Maggie has been part of their lives for two decades.
Sharing a photo of her children holding onto Maggie, the mum-of-four wrote: “Goodnight my beautiful baby. “You were one in a million, 20 years with you, I’m heartbroken [heartbroken emoji].”
Peter and Abbey launched their own podcast two years ago and have seen remarkable success from the relatable show. They respond to viewer’s dilemmas, as well as including a “Weekly Whine” segment, where they can each talk about what has perhaps frustrated them over the last week.
In a recent episode, Abbey and Peter talked about the joys of parenthood at Christmas time, responding to a listener’s story about the infamous “Elf on the shelf” in the lead up to Christmas.
Abbey has also recalled her first encounter with Peter in Liverpool back in 2005 during a chat on Good Morning Britain, sharing the cheeky start to their romance.
She said: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?'”.
Peter apparently tried to smooth things over, insisting he was “just talking” but Abbey wasn’t having any of it, promptly asking for her number back to which he said: “You can’t give someone your number and then take it back.”
Despite the initial bump in the road, their relationship blossomed and the couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011. According to OK! , the family live in a “magical” Surrey mansion complete with its own cinema room and a huge garden.
The couple are said to have moved into the luxurious property in 2016.
