
The A46 southbound in Leicestershire has been closed following a collision in which an lorry left the carriageway. National Highways said the closure was in place between the A6006 at Melton and the B676 at Six Hills.
Emergency services have been at the scene since shortly after 3pm on Tuesday (February 24), with Leicestershire Police leading the response. The force is being supported by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
Due to the complex nature of the recovery, National Highways said there were no confirmed times for the reopening of the carriageway. Drivers are advised to allow extra journey time or consider an alternative route.
