(East Texas) Old Man Winter still has a firm grip on East Texas. We’re still recovering from the punch of winter weather that he delivered us. We have experienced extremely cold temperatures, sleet, freezing rain, ice, and a bit of snow over the last week. While students enjoyed it because they were out of school for half the week, many of us are ready for milder temperatures so we can get out and be active.

Being cooped up at home is relaxing for a day, but several days in a row, and we start going stir crazy!

Thankfully, the weekend is coming. It’s going to be another cold one, but we aren’t expecting any winter precipitation, just freezing temperatures all weekend long.

You can layer up with thermals, a heavy coat, gloves, a scarf, and head out on an adventure this weekend in Canton. It’s First Monday Trade Days weekend. Browse the hundred of vendors while sipping on a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate, eating a corn dog, and spending money on things you didn’t realize you needed until you saw them!

Here’s a look at what’s happening this weekend in East Texas.

For more information or to purchase tickets for the ticketed events we’ve listed, click or tap the event name to go to their official page.
