A woman living in China shared a clip of her almost clean air purifier filter, drawing a sharp contrast to the jet-black filters currently seen in Delhi homes.
In the past few weeks, many people in Delhi have been posting photos and videos of their air purifier filters. Each time they clean them, the filters appear completely black, showing how heavily polluted the air has become. These videos have caused worry online, especially as pollution levels continue to rise across the city.
But now, a new clip from a West Bengal woman living in China is getting attention for a very different reason. While Delhi users show dust-filled filters, she shared one that looks almost clean after months of use. Her post has sparked discussion as people compare the air quality in both countries.
Woman Shares Her Air Filter Experience From China
The video opens with the woman holding a cylindrical air purifier filter. She slowly turns it around for the camera so viewers can see its condition. The filter appears light in colour, with only a thin layer of pet hair and very little dust on the surface.
While showing it, she says, “This is the air filter after three months and I have two dogs at home so there is hair on it. But apart from that I don’t think there is any dust.” She explains that despite running the purifier all day, the filter has barely collected anything except dog hair.
She posted the clip on X with the caption, “Really dodged a bullet shifting abroad. This is my filter after 3 months, in China. I run it 24×7 to keep the extra dog hair in check.”
A person mentioned, “I am on the second floor and just opening the gate of my room for a couple of seconds makes the purifier red. Only our lungs know what we are breathing!”
Online Users React To The Contrast
Since being shared on November 12, the post has crossed one million views. Many users began comparing both filters and discussing the difference in air quality. Comments poured in from people in India and abroad.
A user asked, “How easy/hard is it to move to China compared to other popular countries?” Another wrote, “Why do you have a filter in China? It’s not required.” She replied, “I have 2 dogs that shed heavily twice a year.”
Some compared both countries’ pollution issues, with one remarking, “And our india is full of filth polluted air still we are vishwaguru.” Another commented, “Stay there in China and enjoy the Dictatorship.”
Discussions continued with users debating environmental rules, farming practices and government policies. A person said, “This cannot be 3 months Unbelievable.” Others asked about moving to China, saying, “can i ask what’s the process to move china as an Indian.”
