BlockDAG boasts a war chest that could position it to succeed. However, a deeper look reveals some red flags that keep it from being an altcoin to buy.
First, BlockDAG claims its layer-1 will be able to handle more than 15,000 transactions per second, which makes it a highly speculative and risky play. But even if accurate, BlockDAG will still need to compete against established and trusted high-throughput networks like Solana, Avalanche, and Fantom. These rivals already have functioning ecosystems, developer traction, and real-world usage.
If anything, BlockDAG is a prime example that bigger isn’t always better. It might have potential, but it lacks the traction, utility, and trust that other presales have demonstrated with their live products.

BlockchainFX’s Super-App Pitch Faces Crowded Competition
BlockchainFX is another presale that many consider one of the best cryptos to buy now. BlockchainFX is a decentralized platform offering trading access and the ability to swap crypto, stocks, commodities, and more.
The problem with BlockchainFX’s model is that it doesn’t solve any real-world problems. Users already have access to multiple trading platforms, such as eToro, that offer exposure to different asset classes. BlockchainFX would need to attract traders away from platforms that already offer deep liquidity.
Also, the majority of traders aren’t really looking for an “all-in-one” platform. Crypto traders have no interest in starting to trade gold, while equity investors aren’t looking to add the USDJPY currency pair to their trading wishlists.

Digitap’s 100x Case Looks Stronger Than Rival Presales
BlockDAG has already raised hundreds of millions of dollars, implying it is worth billions of dollars today. Unless it can prove it is a better alternative to the likes of Ethereum and Avalanche, the token could just marginally gain ground. Similarly, the upside case for BlockchainFX is limited as it doesn’t really solve real problems or provide access to the unbanked community.
Digitap, on the other hand, has the potential to gain 100x from its low valuation as a crypto presale project. Currently, Coinbase boasts 120 million users and trades on the Nasdaq at a $66 billion valuation. The math on this implies the market values each user at roughly $540. Applying a 50% haircut to Digitap, the company would need to onboard roughly 24 million users to justify a 100x return on its current valuation of around $65 million.
This looks to be attainable, considering the market for the unbanked alone is roughly 800 million people. In other words, Digitap could handily justify a 100x return with a 3% market share of the global unbanked community, making it one of the best altcoins to buy.
