Clark Development Corp. (CDC) signed a lease agreement with Twin Cardinal Realty Corp. (TCRC) on Aug. 8, 2025 for the P1.143-billion Ibis Styles Hotel Clark, a mid-scale hospitality project under the Accor Group.
CDC president and chief executive Agnes Devanadera said the project would address the rising demand for affordable, business-friendly accommodations in the Freeport, which recorded 3,793 hotel rooms as of December 2024, and is expected to create 359 local jobs.
“Every weekend, we welcome thousands of guests-runners, bikers, and their families-who are looking for no-frills, business-friendly accommodations,” she said during the signing, noting that the lease underwent a rigorous due diligence process to protect investors and align with government policies.
The 250-room hotel will rise on a 6,000-square-meter lot along C.M. Recto Highway, with construction set to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and completion targeted by early 2027.
The proposed accommodation facility will offer 230 standard rooms and 20 family rooms, along with two restaurants, a gym, a children’s play area and a reception lobby.
Devanadera said tourism remains a priority under the Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP), and the hotel project supports national development goals.
Ibis Styles Hotel Clark is part of a growing pipeline of hospitality projects in the Freeport, with nearly 2,000 additional rooms expected in the near term.
These include First Clark Hotel and Residences (286 rooms) opening in the fourth quarter; The Henry Resort Clark (40 rooms); Wyndham Garden Clark (150 rooms); Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort’s 300-room expansion; and Hann’s 970-room expansion.
Accor Group director of development Kash Salvador said Clark’s strategic location makes it ideal for business tourism.
“We are confident that we will elevate the business tourism infrastructure in Clark, supporting its ongoing growth as a prime destination for both work and play,” he said.
