For my 2026 goals, I decided to attack my mindset instead of reaching specific accomplishments. They say most of life happens in your head, so after a few year of not doing resolutions, I decided to focus a little more on the intangible. Let’s get to em.
This is my version of be delusional. The main difference is that my music is good. My ideas are good and I am smart. I was asked recently if I had what it takes to make it and the answer to that is obviously yes but then I was asked if I believe it that was Nat with a little more apprehension. It’s time to finally drink my own Kool-Aid and believe that I can do it not just that I have the capabilities to do it.
Not only will I ask for the unreasonable I will demand it. People who deserve less than me have asked for and received more and I just can’t accept that.
The last few years have been trash for me as a the city’s music scene that I was expecting to be able to navigate as an artist with more ease than how it ended up being for me. Attached to this I won’t be mad if my local friends don’t give a shit about my music. Why would they? Why should they? People wanna see you be great but that doesn’t mean they need to pretend to be fans of your work.
In doing everything myself, the closest thing I can get to a team is creating a set of systems to help make my work and journey easier. Working across multiple media, it’s gonna be important to be organized if I wanna win.
Since when has the algorithm done something for me? Why should I do something for it? This will mainly manifest in me putting everything everywhere and not playing any platform games. Worrying about what works best where will just end in paralysis. If people care, they’ll find me.
It’s my money I just need to find who has it. It’s important to mentally leave the door open for the money to enter and that’s how this got on my list. All at once. Over the year. Installments.
