Cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds suffered one of their largest ever outflows this week as US investors pulled almost $US1 billion ($1.6 billion) amid warnings the crypto market is on the brink of a correction.
On Tuesday, jittery institutional investors yanked around $US523 million from bitcoin ETFs and a record $US422 million from ether ETFs, dragging prices lower. Bitcoin and ether have fallen 8 per cent to $US113,948 and 10 per cent to $US4290, respectively, since reaching peaks this month.
